Description
The Logitech Swytch is a laptop link for video conferencing, designed to simplify the use of a meeting room’s A/V equipment with a personal computer. It allows users to connect their laptop to a meeting room’s camera, speaker, and display with a single cable, regardless of the video conferencing software they use. This “bring-your-own-device” (BYOD) solution is a powerful tool for rooms that are equipped with a dedicated meeting room system (e.g., Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms) but also need to support other platforms or spontaneous meetings.
The Swytch system consists of a desktop hub and a USB-C cable with an integrated button. When a user connects their laptop to the Swytch cable, they gain control of the room’s Logitech camera and speaker system and can use it for any software on their laptop. The cable supports DisplayLink technology and provides up to 60W of power delivery, charging the laptop while it is connected. The system supports video up to 4K resolution at 60fps and is compatible with a wide range of laptops, including those with a USB-C or USB-A port (with an included adapter). The Swytch also has an HDMI pass-through, allowing a dedicated room computer to be connected to the same display. A key feature is its ability to seamlessly switch between the room’s dedicated system and a user’s personal laptop with a single touch of the button on the cable.
