Description

The Moxa EDS-G4012-4GSFP is a 12-port managed industrial Gigabit Ethernet switch. It features a combination of 8 x 10/100/1000BaseT(X) RJ45 copper ports and 4 x 1000/2500BaseSFP fiber-optic ports. This configuration is ideal for building high-speed industrial network backbones, allowing for both standard copper connections and long-distance, high-bandwidth uplinks via SFP modules. The switch is a “managed” device, providing a comprehensive suite of features accessible through a web-based interface, CLI, or SNMP. These features include:

• Cybersecurity: Certified to IEC 62443-4-2 standards, the switch offers robust security features like access control lists (ACLs), DHCP snooping, and port security to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Network Redundancy: It supports Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain protocols, which can achieve a recovery time of less than 50 ms in case of a link failure, ensuring maximum network uptime. It also supports standard redundancy protocols like RSTP/STP.
• High-Bandwidth Performance: With a non-blocking switching capacity, the EDS-G4012-4GSFP can handle large data transfers, making it suitable for applications like video surveillance, process monitoring, and factory automation. The SFP ports can support up to 2.5 Gbps, further enhancing its uplink capabilities.
