Description
The Ubiquiti UniFi Cloud Gateway Fiber (UCG-Fiber) is a powerful networking device that combines the functions of a high-speed router, a security gateway, and a UniFi OS Console. Its name is derived from its two 10 Gbps SFP+ ports (one for WAN and one for LAN), which are optimized for fiber connections. It also includes a robust set of multi-gigabit ports: one 10 GbE RJ45 port (which can be configured as a WAN or LAN port) and four 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN ports, with one port also offering PoE+ (802.3at) for powering a device like a Wi-Fi 7 access point.
The UCG-Fiber is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 processor and boasts an impressive 5 Gbps of IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention System) throughput. This allows it to handle extremely high-speed internet connections while still providing enterprise-grade security features. It runs the full UniFi application suite, including Network, Protect, Talk, and Access, and supports a range of advanced networking features like multi-WAN load balancing, a stateful firewall, and various VPN protocols (WireGuard, OpenVPN, L2TP, Teleport). It also has a slot for an M.2 NVMe SSD for running UniFi Protect, supporting up to 2 TB of storage. The device is designed for a desktop or tabletop form factor with a small status display on the front.
