The Western Digital Red Plus 8TB WD80EFZZ is a 3.5-inch internal hard drive with a formatted capacity of 8 TB. It is built to meet the demands of 24/7 NAS operation and is compatible with systems of up to 8 drive bays. The drive features a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, a rotational speed of 5640 RPM, and a 128 MB cache. The drive’s firmware, known as NASware 3.0, is optimized for NAS systems, enhancing compatibility, reliability, and error recovery in RAID environments.

A significant feature of this drive is its use of Conventional Magnetic Recording (CMR) technology.
