The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Lite 16 PoE (USW-16-POE) is a configurable Gigabit Layer 2 switch that provides a solid foundation for a growing UniFi ecosystem. It features a total of 16 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports, making it an excellent choice for connecting a variety of wired devices such as computers, printers, and NAS storage.

Of its 16 ports, eight are 802.3at PoE+ compliant, providing a total PoE power budget of 45W. This allows it to automatically detect and power a wide range of compatible devices, including UniFi access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones. The PoE+ capability provides up to 30W per port, which is sufficient for most modern UniFi devices.

The USW-16-POE is designed with a fanless, internal 60W AC/DC power supply to ensure completely silent operation. This makes it a great choice for deployment in an office, home, or SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) where fan noise could be a distraction. Its compact desktop form factor and included wall-mounting kit provide flexibility for placement on a desk or discreetly on a wall.

As a managed Layer 2 switch, it is centrally controlled and configured through the intuitive UniFi Network Application.
