Description
The Ubiquiti LTU-LITE is a dedicated 5 GHz client device (CPE – Customer Premises Equipment) that functions as a subscriber unit in a PtMP network. It is specifically designed to connect to an LTU-Rocket as the base station. Unlike standard Wi-Fi products that are based on the 802.11 protocol, the LTU-LITE uses Ubiquiti’s custom LTU silicon and radio architecture to overcome the limitations of Wi-Fi technology, providing superior performance, especially in noisy RF environments.
The device delivers a high throughput of 900+ Mbps with an integrated 13 dBi antenna, capable of supporting connections over a distance of up to 10 km (6.2 miles). It features a single Gigabit Ethernet port and is powered by 24V passive PoE, with a Gigabit PoE adapter included. The LTU-LITE boasts a robust, weatherproof, and UV-stabilized polycarbonate enclosure with an IPX5 rating, making it highly durable for outdoor deployments. It also includes a management radio for easy setup via the UISP mobile app using Bluetooth.
The LTU-LITE offers flexible channel bandwidths (10/20/30/40/50 MHz) and advanced features like frequency splitting, which allows independent TX and RX channel frequencies to avoid local interference. It can be configured in both bridged and hardware NAT router modes to suit different deployment scenarios
