The Ubiquiti UniFi Access Reader Ultra (UA-Ultra) is an all-in-one solution for single-door access control. It combines a robust NFC card reader and a built-in hub into a single, compact device. The reader supports a wide range of NFC technologies, including MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus, and MIFARE DESFire, allowing users to unlock the door with a compatible card or fob. Additionally, it supports keyless entry using the UniFi Identity mobile app and features a digital input for a request-to-exit (RTE) button.

A key differentiator for the UA-Ultra is its ability to directly power and control a 12V, 1A electric lock, simplifying installation and eliminating the need for a separate power supply for the lock. The device is powered by PoE+ (802.3at) via a single 10/100 MbE RJ45 port, which also provides network connectivity. With an IP55 weather resistance rating and a tamper switch, the UA-Ultra is built for both indoor and outdoor use. It is centrally managed through the UniFi Access application, which provides a streamlined platform for managing users, credentials, and access policies.
