The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is an upgraded version of the RTX 4070, featuring a more powerful AD104 GPU with a higher number of enabled CUDA cores. This increase of approximately 22% in core count, along with a slightly higher power draw, provides a notable performance uplift. The card maintains the same memory configuration as its predecessor, with 12 GB of GDDR6X VRAM on a 192-bit bus. This combination of more cores and a refined architecture allows the RTX 4070 SUPER to deliver performance that often rivals or exceeds the previous-generation RTX 3080 and sometimes even the RTX 3090, all while being significantly more power-efficient. It comes with all the key features of the Ada Lovelace generation, including DLSS 3 with Frame Generation, advanced ray tracing capabilities, and the highly efficient NVIDIA Encoder (NVENC).
