Description
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is the mainstream offering in the RTX 40 series. It is built on the AD106 GPU and is notable for its excellent power efficiency and support for DLSS 3 with Frame Generation, which is its main selling point over the previous generation. The card was released in two variants: an 8 GB model launched in May 2023 for $399, and a 16 GB model that followed in July 2023 for $499. While both models have the same core count and a narrow 128-bit memory bus, the 16 GB version was intended to improve performance in VRAM-intensive workloads and at higher resolutions. In practice, due to the limited memory bandwidth, the performance uplift of the 16 GB model over the 8 GB version is often minimal in gaming, though it can be beneficial for specific professional tasks. The RTX 4060 Ti offers a modest performance gain over its predecessor, the RTX 3060 Ti, in traditional rasterization, but the introduction of DLSS 3 allows it to achieve much higher framerates in supported titles
