The IP-COM AC1000 is a centralized AP controller that can manage up to 128 IP-COM access points. It is a crucial component for networks in environments like hotels, schools, and offices, where deploying and managing multiple access points is a complex task. The AC1000 simplifies this process by automatically discovering new IP-COM APs on the network and pushing out configurations, such as SSIDs, security settings, and VLANs. With a powerful 800 MHz Broadcom processor, it can monitor the real-time status of all managed APs and their connected clients. It also features a robust alert system that can send email or software alarms when an AP fails or exceeds a set traffic/client threshold, ensuring immediate awareness of network issues. The device has five Gigabit Ethernet ports for high-speed wired connections.
