Description
The AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT is built on a cut-down version of the Navi 32 GPU, with a core count of 3,456 stream processors. Its key selling point is the generous 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, which is a notable upgrade over the 8 GB found on its main competitor, the NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti. This extra VRAM, along with a 192-bit memory bus, provides better performance in VRAM-intensive games at 1440p and higher resolutions. The card features enhanced 2nd-gen Ray Accelerators and AI Accelerators for improved ray tracing and upscaling with technologies like FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). While its rasterization performance is strong, its ray-tracing capabilities, while improved, are still not on par with NVIDIA’s offerings. The RX 7700 XT’s power consumption is a bit higher than its direct rival, but its overall performance at its price point makes it a very strong contender in the mid-to-high-end market.
