Description

The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 16 PoE (USW-16-POE) is a configurable Gigabit switch with a total of 16 GbE RJ45 ports. Eight of these ports are equipped with auto-sensing PoE+ (802.3at), while the remaining eight are non-PoE Gigabit ports. This makes it an ideal choice for powering a mix of devices, such as access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones, alongside standard non-powered network devices. For high-speed fiber uplinks, the switch also includes two 1G SFP ports, which provide a non-blocking throughput of 18 Gbps and a switching capacity of 36 Gbps.

A key feature of the USW-16-POE is its generous 42W PoE budget, which can provide up to 32W of power per port for connected PoE+ devices. The switch is passively cooled, which means it is fanless and operates silently, making it suitable for deployment in quiet environments like offices or home labs. The device is centrally managed by the UniFi Network Application, giving administrators a single pane of glass to configure a wide range of advanced Layer 2 switching features, including VLANs, port mirroring, Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), and spanning tree protocols. The switch also has a convenient 1.3″ touchscreen display on the front panel that provides real-time status information, including port statistics and PoE usage.
