The JBL Authentics 300 is a unique smart home speaker that blends a striking retro-inspired design with modern audio technology and smart features. It’s a portable home speaker, distinguished by a convenient cast-aluminum handle and a built-in rechargeable battery that provides up to 8 hours of playtime, making it easy to move from room to room.

The speaker delivers a powerful and balanced sound, with a total output of 100W RMS. Its stereo sound system is comprised of a pair of 1-inch tweeters and a 5.25-inch woofer, complemented by a down-firing 6.5-inch passive radiator for deep, powerful bass. The Automatic Self Tuning feature uses built-in microphones to calibrate and optimize audio performance for its specific location every time it’s powered on.

Connectivity is a key strength of the Authentics 300. It offers seamless wireless streaming via Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). The Wi-Fi connection enables high-resolution streaming from services like AirPlay, Chromecast built-in, and Spotify Connect. A standout feature is the simultaneous availability of both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing users to access hands-free voice control from either assistant at any given time. The speaker can also be integrated into a multi-room audio system using the Google Home or Amazon Alexa apps. For physical connections, it includes a 3.5mm aux input and an Ethernet port. All settings, including EQ adjustments, can be customized using the JBL One app. The speaker is also made in part with recycled materials, including 100% recycled fabric and 85% recycled plastics.
