Description
The Starlink Mini is an all-in-one satellite internet terminal featuring an integrated dish, Wi-Fi router, and power supply. The antenna is a compact electronic phased array that, at just 10.2 inches by 11.75 inches, is roughly the size of a laptop and weighs only 2.43 pounds. Unlike the Gen 2 residential dish, it lacks a motorized base and relies on a software-assisted manual orienting process, guided by the Starlink app, to find the optimal signal from the satellite constellation.
The kit includes a built-in Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) router with a 3×3 MU-MIMO radio, providing a coverage area of up to 1,200 sq. ft. A notable feature is the inclusion of a single, latching Ethernet LAN port, allowing for a wired connection without the need for an external adapter. The system is designed for efficiency, with an average power consumption of just 25-40W, about half that of the standard Gen 3 dish. This makes it a great choice for off-grid use, as it can be powered by a portable USB battery with a 100W, 20V/5A USB Power Delivery (USB PD) requirement.
The Starlink Mini is engineered for durability, with an IP67 environmental rating, making it highly resistant to dust and water. It also includes a snow-melt capability of up to 25mm per hour. The kit comes with an integrated kickstand for quick, temporary setups and a power supply with a 15m cable.
