Description
The LG UltraGear 27MQ780-B, also known by the model name LG DualUp 28MQ780-B, is a 27.6-inch monitor with a unique SDQHD (2560 x 2880) resolution and a 16:18 aspect ratio. This unconventional design is essentially two 16:9 QHD (1440p) screens stacked on top of each other without a physical bezel in between. It is built with a Nano IPS panel that delivers accurate and vibrant colors, covering 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. This makes it an excellent tool for content creators and professionals who need both vertical screen space and color accuracy.
While it’s part of the UltraGear family, it’s not a gaming monitor in the traditional sense. It has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a 5ms (GtG) response time, which is suitable for general use and casual gaming but is not designed for fast-paced, competitive titles.
The monitor’s key feature is its included Ergo Stand, which is a highly flexible and adjustable arm that clamps to a desk. It offers a full range of motion, including height, tilt, swivel, and pivot, as well as the ability to extend or retract the monitor. This allows users to position the screen exactly where they need it to maximize comfort and productivity. The monitor also features a USB Type-C port with 90W of power delivery, allowing a laptop to be connected and charged with a single cable. It has a built-in KVM switch, allowing users to control two different computers with a single keyboard and mouse.
