Description

The Gigabyte M27Q is a 27-inch gaming monitor with a WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, which offers a significant increase in clarity and pixel density over standard Full HD displays. It uses a Super Speed (SS) IPS panel, which is a variant of IPS technology designed for faster response times, providing excellent color accuracy and wide 178° viewing angles. The monitor boasts a high refresh rate of up to 170Hz and a fast 0.5ms (MPRT) response time, making it highly suitable for competitive gaming by reducing motion blur and ghosting.

A standout feature of the M27Q is its integrated KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch. This allows users to connect multiple devices (like a desktop PC and a laptop) to the monitor and control both with a single keyboard and mouse, switching between them with the press of a button. This is a game-changer for productivity and multi-device setups.

The monitor supports a wide color gamut, covering 92% DCI-P3 and 140% sRGB, providing vibrant and accurate colors that are suitable for both gaming and content creation. It is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, offering a basic level of HDR performance with a peak brightness of around 400 nits. The stand provides height and tilt adjustments for user comfort and is VESA mount compatible. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2, and a USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode and provides up to 10W of power delivery. The monitor also includes a built-in USB 3.0 hub.

It’s important to note that the M27Q uses a BGR (Blue-Green-Red) sub-pixel layout instead of the more standard RGB. While this is not an issue for games and videos, it can cause text to appear slightly blurry or have color fringing, which some users may find distracting, especially for productivity tasks or a lot of text-based work
