The ASUS TUF Gaming VG279Q1A is a 27-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) gaming monitor built with a fast IPS (In-Plane Switching) panel. The IPS technology provides superior color reproduction and wide 178° viewing angles, ensuring consistent visuals from various perspectives. This monitor is engineered for a fluid gaming experience, featuring an ultrafast 165Hz refresh rate and a 1ms (MPRT) response time. The combination of these two features significantly reduces motion blur and ghosting, giving gamers a competitive edge in fast-paced titles. It’s important to note that the 165Hz refresh rate is achieved via the DisplayPort connection, while the HDMI ports support up to 144Hz.

To further enhance the gaming experience, the VG279Q1A includes AMD FreeSync Premium technology and is NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, which synchronize the monitor’s refresh rate with the graphics card’s frame rate. This effectively eliminates screen tearing and stuttering for a smooth, artifact-free gameplay experience.

The monitor also comes with several ASUS-exclusive features:
